Stroke is the 5th leading cause of death in the United States as there are about 795,000 cases each year. Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) increases the risk of stroke. It is important to know that stroke can be prevented or treated, and risk can be lowered. Attend this session to learn about stroke, how to recognize signs, and the best course of action to take if someone is experiencing one. This discussion includes some of the common causes of stroke and AFib, and ways that neurologists are working with cardiologists to help patients.
