|The Role of Nutrition and Exercise in Mental Health|

This May, the Syracuse Chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), along with Mental Health America, are focused on how a healthy lifestyle may help prevent the onset or worsening of mental health conditions.
In this first presentation, Jonathan Crandall, Family Support Navigator, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and Sierra Club Outing Leader, from Prevention Network, will speak on exercise and its ever important role on our physical and mental health. He will offer suggestions we can all incorporate daily, to improve our overall level of fitness. He will be joined by Sherie Ramsgard, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Syracuse NAMI board member and owner of Whole Mental Wellness here in Syracuse.
A second NAMI presentation titled "Mental Health Wellness: Tools to Manage Stress" will be offered May 20th, 2PM in the Carman Community Room.
