|Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) Training|
Event Type: Adult Programs|
Start Time: 6:00 PM
End Time: 8:45 PM
Law enforcement officers and agencies are frequently requested by schools, businesses, and community members for direction and presentations on what they should do if confronted with an active shooter event.
The Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) course, designed and built on the Avoid, Deny, Defend strategy developed by ALERRT in 2004, provides strategies, guidance and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event.
Topics include the history and prevalence of active shooter events, the role of professional guardians, civilian response options, medical issues, and drills.
Instructor: Certified CRASE instructors from the Liverpool Police Department will be conducting the two hour 45 minute training.
This course is designed for anyone who might be faced with an active shooter situation, which unfortunately is everyone. As we saw most recently in Las Vegas, this can happen anywhere, at any time. Will you know what to do?
This is free event for anyone interested in attending. Registration is required.
Location: Carman Community Room
