 We will show "Mandela: The Long Walk to Freedom", a chronicle of Nelson Mandela's life journey from his childhood in a rural village, coming of age, education and 27 years in prison before becoming President of South Africa and working to rebuild the country's once segregated society.

CNY Reads has chosen "Born a Crime" by talk show host and comedian, Trevor Noah as the book they are promoting for all of CNY to read in 2019. At his birth. Trevor was born to a white Swiss father and a black Xhosa mother at a time when such a union was punishable by five years in prison. The compelling, inspiring, and comically sublime story of one manís coming-of-age, set during the twilight of apartheid and the tumultuous days of freedom that followed.
